I moved here in April and am breaking my 12 month lease to get the heck out. For starters, this is a glorified ghetto. Don't be misled. Bums are always picking their way through the dumpsters outside and begging for change INSIDE the complex. There is a corner of the parking lot where they set up their little "camps" with mattresses and shopping carts full of disgusting items. I feel like I'm living in Compton. The elevators are horrifying. People urinate in them on a weekly basis and they now have the constant stench of human excrement. My dog won't even go in there. My air conditioning AND heating have not worked since the day I moved in. When I brought this to maintenance's attention (several times) they told me "that's just how it is" and to "deal with it". The door to my dishwasher also FELL OFF within 3 days of me moving there. When I complained, they said they didn't have the part and would have to get back to me. I have been without a dishwasher since. The CRIME is terrible. I'm a 28 year old female and I've almost been abducted AND my roommate's car got broken into. There is NO security at all. The "gated" community is a joke, as the gates are always propped open or broken so they stand open on their own. The "ponds" they have are nothing more than stinking pools of stagnant water, and I feel sorry for the fish that live in there. People are always spitting in the water, throwing trash in it and god knows what else. The water is always being shut off, usually without warning (which is illegal, by the way). I've had to come to work and wash up there, because there is NO WATER at my apartment. When there is running water, it is ice cold, meaning most of my showers taken there have been freezing. Most of all, the manager, Fransisco, is INCOMPETENT. He hates his job and the residents there and it really shows. It's a nightmare.
