Lies, deceitfulness

I don't even know where to begin. When I first moved in, they told me I was going to have new carpet and linoleum in my apartment. When I first saw the place, the linoleum had highlighter marks on it, and the carpet had cigarette burns. Obviously not new. On top of that, there were huge patches on the door where there had obviously been huge holes, 3 outlets in the kitchen didn't work (which they never fixed), and the kitchen had never been cleaned. I should have backed out then, but I didn't. After that, I had problems with the neighbors having all night parties, and the management not doing a damn thing about it... One party resulting in the break in of my car. For the most part, the people I met there were not good people. Not the kind of people you want as neighbors. As for the "security features", there are none. When I lived there, the gate never worked, and when it did work, it would malfunction almost every day leaving people stuck outside the complex. THERE ARE NO SECURITY CAMERAS! I found this out when someone smashed into my car in the parking lot. I asked at the front desk to check their surveilance for a license plate number. And they beat around the bush for a few minutes hoping I'd go away, but when I didn't, they finally confessed that the cameras they had around the complex were only mock cameras. Apparantly they don't make enough money to afford real ones. They claim to have security cars patroling the parking lot at night, but I never saw them there. And if you plan on taking the shuttle to UNM, make sure you don't sign up for any classes after 3:00, because the shuttle only runs until 4, and only goes maybe 5 times a day. Then, when my lease was almost up, they tried to cut my lease 2 weeks short, and charge me for a whole month's rent. I grabbed my copy of the lease agreement and told them they made a mistake. They looked pretty shady when I brought this up, and the girl I was talking to said, let me go check. She went in the back room, and the manager followed her. They had a pow wow, and said, "Sorry, we made a mistake." So I told her I was just going to go ahead a give them my notice. One good thing, however, was that they gave me my full deposit back. Probably because they knew I was going to take them to court if they didn't. Sun Village is a bad place with bad people.

I know the feeling of it being a bad place with bad people. But heck, the manager fits right in with the low life people that live there. I wouldnt be supprised if the manager "hooks up" and does drugs with the residents there, I hear she is known for that! Opps...did I say something?
