Loved living there-hip, clean, private with easy access to bike path

We lived there for 2 years and left to move into a house. We enjoyed being so close to the bike path and bosque. We had one of the cooler apartments with high vaulted ceilings, fireplace, and rented a separate garage. We had great natural light from all the windows. I saw my neighbors apartment and it kinda sucked so you have to be careful of which one you choose. The penthouses at this complex are SWEET--two stories! The property manager was great too. If anything needed fixing, she was on it. She got us a new washer when we complained the other one was a bit old. Dog friendly place. As far as safety goes, we always felt pretty secure. Maybe cause we had a dog. We never ran into any security issues while there. It's also cool being across the street from the Aquarium. In the summers you can walk across the street for their Thursday night concerts. You can see the balloons early in the morning to the North.
I liked the funky layout of the apartment complex. Not your boring suburban like apartments. This one is pretty hip for a complex and I liked my immediate neighbors. Didn't really get to know others outside of my section. The layout was such that none of our side walls touched another neighbors' apartment which helped with noise and gave us privacy. Our neighbor downstairs was super cool too. We found the rent amount was justified for what we got in our pad. We found it to be quiet--maybe 'cause we were on the top floor. We also liked it because there were a good mix of residents--from doctors to carpenters, families to young singles and older couples and racially diverse too. I would recommend it.
