Absolutely Terrible

Where to begin. The model apartment they like to show is wonderful looking. New appliances. New flooring. The apartment I moved into is terrible. TO begin with the flooring wasn't even finished on move in date. The transfer strips are nailed down and all the nails were lose (can you say cuts to the feet). I included a picture of the entrance to my unit. The cabinets were bowed and the door was broken. I hear everything my neighbors do... EVERYTHING. The air conditioner leaked pools onto the floor. When maintenance came to fix it they ended up cutting a massive whole in my ceiling, in the process ruining my suede jacket (they decided not to move anything before cutting this hole) then used MY bath towel to clean up a glue spill.
Wonderful fact: my floors are bowed. Literally. My furniture on the walls sits at a forward angle. Also a picture included of my entertainment center. It's hard to see but notice the angle the furniture is sitting compared to the wall. And its propped at the front with a piece of wood.
Of the many amenities they say they offer about half were delivered. A hot tub that has not been full of water since I moved in. Gates that were promised to be fixed 2 weeks after my arrival were worked on 3 months later... I'm in the 7th month of my lease and they are not fixed. The "year round heated pool" has been neither. The sauna has not worked once. The exercise equipment is consistently broken.
I have had nothing but issues with the staff. Most of the maintenance guys are wonderful but a few are not so nice. The office staff was very good on my initial visits and with my initial move in complaints. After that they were terrible and downright nasty at times.
Security is a joke. MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO AFTER 3 MONTHS. AS OF YESTERDAY MY MOTORCYCLE WAS STOLEN. I have watched countless drug deals in the parking lot from my balcony. Parking is a joke for any areas actually near the building entrances. Lighting is terrible. I asked the office to replace the 2 lights on the stairs multiple times and it took months. SO every night I had to walk from my car to my door in pitch blackness. I couldn't see to get my key in the door.
Final word of caution. Despite my issues with the apartment I don't have the resources to move right now and asked about renewal of my lease. They quoted me close to $100 dollars more a month. They certainly care about maintaining residents.
