Hello to all and thank you for taking the time to read the list of events that have taken place within the 2 month time frame that I have lived at the Vistas At Seven Bar Ranch Apartment Community located at 10600 Cibola Loop Northwest, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
This page was created to tell the events that I have experienced personally as a new tenant at the Vistas At Seven Bar Ranch Apartment Community. I am not trying to slander anyone or any company, just being real and telling it like it has been for me.
In my opinion, this is by far the worst place in Albuquerque, New Mexico you can rent an apartment. Trust me, you would rather live in the "War Zone" aka Ghetto of Albuquerque New Mexico before you live here in the Vistas. I assure you I'm not the only tenant who feels this way. I'm just the only one who isn't afraid to admit it in the form of a website.
I have lived in many places across the nation and have never had the problems that I've had here. I can't believe I am stuck in this apartment community for 8 more months. Below you will find my grievances.
griev ance
Pronunciation: 'grE-v&n(t)s
Function: noun
1 obsolete : SUFFERING, DISTRESS
2 : a cause of distress (as an unsatisfactory working condition) felt to afford reason for complaint or resistance
3 : the formal expression of a grievance : COMPLAINT
synonym see INJUSTICE

The sales people are very dishonest and will say anything to have you move in to their community.
Including not advising you of all the utilities that are charged on the bills every month that come from the apartment community. Even when you ask directly, they will be happy to tell you, " There is no gas in these apartments. You are only responsible for: Water, Trash and Sewer." Tell that to my bank account, which I might add, will be about $500 short over the term of my 10 month lease due to gas charges alone. Just to test the charges I haven't used my heater in almost a month. DO YOU KNOW HOW COLD IT IS DURING THE WINTER IN NEW MEXICO''' Just using the hot water heater to bathe and wash clothes, I get charged about $55 to $60 a month. Oh, did I mention, according to the sales staff, these apartments are all electric.

When I got here to sign the lease papers, I did not have the option to work with the original sales lady, we get stuck with a new one who doesn't know the meaning of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Rude is what she was. I had to leave and let my fianc finish the paperwork because I couldn't deal with the attitude we got from her. I assume due to the fact that she wasn't our original sales lady she was pissed she had to work our move in and wasn't getting commission on it. YOU CHOSE THE JOB NOT US LADY!

So, we do our walk through and find several issues that should have been fixed before we got here and want them to be repaired, of course. So an Immediate work order was put in. So we thought. After 2 weeks of calling, someone finally gets here. Well, needless to say, the main problem was half a** fixed. Our living room window seal still leaks in cold air, rather large amounts at that.

I find this to be a good one. I have 2 children from a previous marriage. If they come to visit for the summer and are going to be here for more then a weekend I have to have them APPROVED and added on the lease so we don't get evicted. This I really don't understand. So what next. Are they going to tell me my kids can't be here' Am I suppose to tell my young children they can't come see their father because the apartments don't approve of them for whatever reason. Come on now.
Grievance #5
Parking tags. I have a motorcycle, where in the hell am I going to put a big parking tag on my bike, huh. Tell me. Due to lack of communication and knowledge of their own grounds, I have to worry that an employee will have it towed (picked up) because they don't see proper parking permit. KNOW YOUR PROPERTY AND WHO IS IN IT.
Grievance #6
On to the second bedroom/office... Working from home is something a lot of people do these days. While hooking up the cable Internet we discover the outlet doesn't work. At this point I'm like, GO FIGURE. So the cable guy stated that it's nothing he can fix because we determined the line was severed somewhere between the main box and the outlet two rooms away. He recommends contacting the apartment manager and advising them of the situation because walls have to come down to replace it due to 3rd floor living. I called the apartment manager and was told, "We can't do anything about that. It's the cable company's job to make repairs". So I call the installers manager at the cable place and just as I thought, they aren't allowed to remove drywall and replace the cable in an apartment because that aren't legally allowed. I go back to the apt manager and after a week finally she says, "Oh, I guess the cable company is right, huh".
Once again I explain the exact issue to her. She states, "Have the cable repair guys come out and do whatever they have to do to fix the problem as long as it doesn't require any wall removal or holes being drilled". OK' At this time we have a 12 foot cable running from the working outlet in the bedroom across the floor of the apartment to 2nd bedroom-office so we have working internet. Looks real nice, let me tell you. Oh and don't go to the bathroom at night in the dark when you wake up to pee because you just might fall and piss yourself. Comfortable feeling let me tell you.

Wow! the refrigerator. It is useless. We have had maintenance come around once a week to "fix" our fridge .The freezer likes to defrost itself and leak into the lower fridge spoiling food on a daily basis.
After having one maintenance man come several times over the 2 months here, he decides to argue and yell at me because I want a fridge that works without having to have him come work on it every week. I call the apartment manager again due to his attitude and tone about a problem he can't seem to fix. The maintenance supervisor comes up just to tell us we should keep the freezer half full so it doesn't do this continually. Don't know about you but I like to have food in the freezer so I have some stuff to eat. No joke, I can't even have a pizza in there because it takes up too much space. Even if that's all that's in there. Great, more money spent having to eat out because of poor appliances.
Grievance #8
Thought it was over, huh. Nope, still many more things in less then 2 months to go through. Gates! We are supposed to have security gates. Tell that to the people that own the 3 cars the got broken into and robbed last week in from of my unit alone. I watched 2 guys try to steal my motorcycle 3 weeks ago due to the non-working gates. Predators are allowed to come and go as they wish.
Because they couldn't get our badges or private entry numbers to work, we would have to wait for someone that lived here to open the gate and follow them in. Nasty looks of suspension were given to us because of this method. Not to mention almost an hour waiting in once specific case. Wonder how much extra we a paying for that "security" feature.
Grievance #9
Yeah, snow! NOT! You would think when winter hits that your apartment manager and or staff would be prepared.
NOT THE CASE. How hard is it to make sure the walkways and paths are shoveled. Oh, I forgot, that's not their concern until someone actually gets hurt right.
Grievance #10
This isn't the last of the issues, but for now, I'm tired of typing and I know you get the point. I'll leave it with this. I have never received a call back from the property manager EVER! I have called and she is always "not in today". This is every other day. I have called about these issues listed above and many more and never get a response from her. It got to the point that I called her boss in AZ and had to tell her of all these issues. She told me "Myself or the property manager will call you at your phone number directly by tomorrow morning with results for you problems". Two days later my fianc got a call AT WORK, not me. So we get offered less then half a months credit for "OUR INCONVENIENCES" not to move out. HA HA HA! What a F*@&%g JOKE. The property manager didn't even have the nerve to speak to me about it when I was asked to come to the office and sign a document for the credit. She had a sales person who didn't even know the situation handle it. What's wrong, Ms Property Manager, Scared of doing your job!'!'!'!
Once again thank you for taking the time and reading this page dedicated to the fall of Vistas At Seven Bar Ranch Apartment Community located at 10600 Cibola Loop Northwest, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
If we stick together, maybe, we as honest hard working people, can actually get what we pay for. Because this place is expensive and trust me, it's for no good reason. The fact is that they lie about their community and how good it is when it's really s*#!
