I can testify without any bias that Whispering Sands is worse every year. The problem begun when the company Bernard Allison bought the complex a couples of years ago. From that point the only policy that stands is to be as cheap as possible. The staff is only good at collecting money. Whenever you have a problem, the only thing they will tell you is that they will come some day to solve the problem... the truth is they only show up should it is an easy thing to fix.

As an example of how incompetent the staff is, you can ask about how well the A/C units work and you will find out that they DO NOT work properly. Instead of cooling the air, the A/C throws debris and grease which is a completely risk for your children. Just imaging dusting and vacuuming every day. The answer for the staff about this problem is that you have to turn it on and off for a couple of times to get rid of all the trash... and guess what, even if you do that a 100 of times at the end you will find your carpet with a lot of spots due to the grease.

Another issue is the kind of people that they accept. I don't want to be nasty but there is no point in asking for references to former landlords and about credit score if you are going to accept anyone. That's what they do in Whispering Sands, they accept everyone who wants to screw themselves because to break the lease once that you realize this place is not what they promised, you will find a fine about 1,300 dlls to escape from them.

In one sentence, DO NOT BE DECEIVED by the green areas.

I have been living at this complex for the past 2 years and I have to agree with the above review. My neighbors are all loud, rude, and scary. You ask them to turn their music down and they throw trash in front of your door. You complain to management and they tell you they will monitor it if other people complain too. You go in to pick up a package and the staff sighs and rolls their eyes like you are bothering them. They make you pay for a "special" key to get into the weight room and laundry room, but it's the exact same key that comes with the rent. I hate this place and I would be gone already, but as the review above states, you have to pay $1100 to break a lease plus extra fees. It's crazy!!!

EVERYTHING that both these users have posted is completely true. Almost every negative comment on here is true for that matter. They charge for everything, nothing works, the apartments are falling apart and are ridiculously crappy and cheap. The pool always looked like the nasty little kids that played in it, pooped it in, and it never got cleaned. The "gym" is disgusting equipment that NEVER gets cleaned or fixed. The only decent area at this place is the front office, and thats because theyre a bunch of selfish jerks who care about their little working quarters or every else's horrid living quarters. Plus theres signs that say "WARNING: there are toxic/hazardous materials" throughout the complex such as Asbestos. I hate this place. I would be gone already if it wasnt 1300 dollars to break my lease.
