I've been here for about 4 months, and it's actually really nice. Very quiet, the staff is always polite and informative, I have never waited for more than one day for maintenance to drop by, and everything in my apartment works perfectly. The AC is quite, cold, and has never blown debris or grease out, the electrical stuff works, plumbing works, and the ground are extremely well kept.
I haven't had any problems with the other people that live here, and since it is mostly families with children I don't expect to. The loudest noise I have ever heard here is children playing, which they do a lot.
The grounds are very well kept and very well landscaped, the gym has all new equipment and is kept very clean, there is a business center with a computer, internet, printer, etc. just in case you don't have your own. There's a nice little movie rental, and while limited in selection, there are definitely some good titles.
The pool is very nice, as is the hot tub, and it is quite an adequate size.
It's located near EVERYTHING, walmart, sam's club, albertsons, smiths, fast food, hiking trails, schools, movie theaters, and all of them, with the exception of walmart and sam's are in walking distance. And it's QUIET. I have not seen any drug dealers, panhandlers, homeless, or loiterers at all.
All in all I think this place is great, and would recommend it to anyone. The amount of good attributes coupled with the low rent makes Whispering Sands the ideal apt complex.

This review has to come from someone in the office. We all know the manager does not pay attention to what you have to say and everytime I go in the office he's always sweating which is disgusting. Secondly I never see anyone pick up the trash from the complex theres dog ---- everywhere. Lets be honest swap coolers suck they dont cool at all and there very old. We all know this has to come from the manager or upper management to get people to live here. I recomend do not live here move somewhere else. This place is the GHETTO!! Let us not forget about the rudeness in the office. The Maintenance guys are awesome and do there job to bad they have to deal with a manager like that. One more thing don't forget about the tub that is never warm and the cars stolen once a week.

Whispering Sands is a very good community to live in. My family and I have been very pleased with our stay here. There have been a few issues with crime but what location in the city does not deal with it. Also the management staff are very helpful and deserve alittle bit more respect for what they are attempting to do. Give them credit they are only human and every one makes mistakes. The maintenance staff is better now then they were in past months. At least they show up when the office says they will. I have yet to see the manager as a sweaty person but who knows maybe he was outside and just got into the office. We are in the desert after all it does get hot. I will stay here longer as long as it stays the way it has been.

HAHAHA omg this post was definitely from someone that works in the office. I sure hope you continue to "stay here" since its so AMAZING, but this place is pure trash. The gym DOES NOT have new equipment everything is disgusting and broken and the pool always looks like a rancid alligator swamp. Speaking of swamps, the swap coolers are pieces of crap just like the ridiculous so called "heaters". The staff is a bunch of uneducated idiots, that get irritated anytime you come in and need something. This place is pure trash. The laundry room has like grease permanently set into the dryers so your clothes gets a gross waxy like film on it, and the apartments in general are straight out of the freakin 70s. Dont listen to this so called "happy customer". he doesnt live her. he just works here and needs a bonus on his paycheck.
