the noise level has certainly NOT quieted down. every weekend, friday, saturday, even sunday nights, and sometimes weeknights, there is blaring music and drunk undergrads being loud jerks. the walls are thin, and i can always hear the parties going on outside and in neighboring apartments. as i'm writing this, i have to turn up my tv so i can hear over the obnoxious bass from the neighbors, and there is seriously a guy howling like a dog outside my window. people throw their trash outside, and i frequently have to pick up empty beer cans and cardboard cases. i'll admit that the apartment is in a great location with respect to the nmsu campus, but i'm growing more convinced that it's not worth it every time i can't sleep or get woken up or can't concentrate on work because of the ridiculous noise. apparently, there are security people, but they must not do anything because the parties never get broken up. oh, also, the pool is always disgustingly dirty with trash. i'm planning on moving out as soon as my lease is up. there are plenty of nice little apartments that are cheaper and quieter elsewhere. in addition, there are bugs like crazy! they do not spray frequently enough. i've had to TAPE my porch door shut to help keep the number of bugs that get into my apartment down, and every time i change the tape there is a disgusting row of nasty bugs stuck to it.

Ive had similar problems with bugs and noise in my apartment! Just last night I had a group of guys that were yelling loudly outside my building at 230 in the morning and they were obviously smashed drunk! This is a reoccuring problem here, with more and more undergrads getting drunk and trashing this place. It has to stop. Ive let the management know of this problem and they have yet to put an end to it.
