My roommate and I moved in very excited to Copper Ridge. Within a month, we noticed the kitchen wall was infested with toxic black mold. We wrote a notorized letter to Terra asking her to take action as it was affecting our health. She became so upset with us that she threated to kick us out and gave us an option to move out immediately. We just asked her to take care of the mold problem and we were not looking to make any trouble. She insisted there was no mold problem and we were lying. We tried to contact the landlord and he too, was very inconsiderate and even WORSE than Terra Hernandez. My roommate and I did not know what to do. The maintenance workers came and painted OVER the mold! The mold was STILL THERE and they PAINTED OVER the freakin mold. My roommate and I decided we had no choice but to move out. We told terra that we were going to move out and she said we would have no charges filed against us for breaking out lease(we did not want to break our lease we just could not stay in a mold intefected apartment) than we signed a lease with another apartment and on our move out date she told us we would have to pay a HUGE penalty for breaking our lease. that dumb idiot is so stupid. she KEPT LYING AND LYING and so i finally bought a taope recorder and started recording everyhting she said. We finally got to the landlord and told him we would be suing the apartment for unsafe hazardous living and he just let us go witout the penalty. i would have pressed further charges if i could but my roommate kept insisting to drop the charges.
