These apartments are a complete horror for the price. Although they are close to NMSU, they are not worth living in. There are much better apartment complexes for much cheaper that are just as close.

The noise levels were horrendous. I could hear every single thing my neighbor did, from walking around, to laundry, vaccuuming, talking on the phone, even using a hair dryer. The walls are paper thin.

The maintenance was slow and sloppy. It took nearly 2 weeks before someone finally came out to fix a water pressure problem in my apartment. But that was the least of my worries.

From May 22-27, 2006, I had a flood in my apartment from the ceiling above me. I was forced to live in standing water for over three days before I finally convinced the manager to let me stay next door in a dry place while the leak was fixed. I had to use the toilet while dirty, yellow water dripped continously on me from the bathroom fan. The water created paint bubbles, holes in the plaster, and holes in the ceiling in my bathroom, utlity area, dining room and kitchen. I had standing water in all these areas and many of my personal items were ruined.

And Country Crest NEVER cleaned it up.

They brought in carpet people to suck up the water and dry out the carpet, but everything else was left as-is. They NEVER fixed the holes or paint or the black mold that grew from having standing water in my apartment for an entire week and beyond. It was completely disgusting and uninhabitable but Country Crest did not give me ANY compensation for what I went through.

I am completely disgusted with the lack of professionalism shown by this company, and I urge anyone looking into living here to think twice: you might end up with my old apartment, which will most likely still have black mold growing in the walls.
