We had the exact same problem with the upstaris neighbors toilet leaking thru the ceiling fan into our bathroom. I was not compensated or even apologized too. There was yellow and brown toilet water pouring into our bathroom. The maintenance man had to tell the people upstairs not to flush their toilet.

They are completely unprofessional. When i complained about a neighbor having parties until 3 IN THE MORNING she told me "just call the cops." She completely missed the point that it is not my duty to regulate your tenants.

We constantly had to go and tell her about 3-4 times things were still broken before she finally got the hint that we wanted them fixed. The only good thing was that the apartments are pretty big. The apartments are falling apart over all and they have new owners who raised the rent on apartments that are just so old, we ended up moving out. Do not move in here unless you can absolutely avoid it.
