High Range Village Apartments

Safe, Nice Place to Live From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/12/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007   The Good: We lived at High Range for 2 years and had very few problems, compared to other apartments we've lived at. Nothing in our apartment ever needed repairs. The evaporative cooler always worked, even in 110 heat. The apartments are really huge and fairly quiet - we only heard our neighbor's music on very rare occasions. I always felt safe walking around at night by myself (I'm a small woman), and most of the neighbors were friendly. The Bad: There is an ant problem - those little tiny sugar ants. If you are going to move here, be prepared to be VERY vigilant about spraying for bugs (the apartment does send someone in to spray, but not often enough), keeping your kitchen and bathroom super-clean, etc. We were in college and very busy, so sometimes we would not have our kitchen really clean, and we ended up with a huge ongoing ant problem. We finally got rid of them, but it took a lot of time, effort, and being grossed out. Overall, the management was helpful, the apartments are large, safe and quiet, and the neighbors are friendly - just be prepared to deal with some ants now and then.
