Hated it!

My husband and I moved from Colorado, and found this apartment on apartments.com. It looked great, and management was great about working with us while we were out of town. However, when we arrived and got our keys, we were dumbfounded by the outdatedness of the apartment. The kitchen was horrible, the living and dining room ran into eachother (there was no separation), and the bathroom was too small. The apartment was clean, but the landscaping was horrible!!! There were mud patches everywhere. Also, our downstairs neighbors kept us up all night with their music and barking dogs. We signed and fulfilled our six month lease and then moved to the Cuestas Apartment Homes down the road. Overall the apartment was "do-able" for graduate students, but I never invited anyone over. The complex did not seem very safe, and there are a lot of rowdy undergraduate college students, and suspicious people that live there. Also, during the evening, there is not a lot of lighting which contributes to the lack of safety. The one thing that I hated the most was the old appliances, oh and the ants. My husband and I would wake up in the morning to ants covering our counters and crawling up the ceiling into the living room! I'm glad we moved, and would say that if you plan on living here, sign a short term lease. Yet I warn you, even six months was a little too long for us!!!
