All of the positive ratings usually two or three lines with no elaboration. We too were charged for things such as a toilet plunger, curtain rods, etc, which were not on any checkin list. The thing that frosted my cookies was that they wanted us to pay for the carpet replacement. We had hired a cleaning company that they suggested, making the check out to the cleaning company. The cleaning company never got the check until after we got the bill (threat) from them; even at that we had to call the cleaners and they couldn't even remember doing the job. We asked for proof that the carpet was damage and they sent us pictures of an apartment with an opposite floor plan. Anyway, we ended up not paying the $2000. bill, although they kept the $300. deposit. It was an expensive lesson about CYA when renting; document everything.
