I love my apartment because of the amenities, but the management is a nightmare to deal with.

I have a small one-bedroom, with washer/dryer, fireplace, shower and bathtub, walk-in closet, patio, garbage disposal and dishwasher. I also have access to a "business center" (that can only be accessed with a key and only during the business hours of the complex), two pools, two hottubs, a small but adequate gym, newspaper stands, racquetball courts and some sort of "clubhouse" - also locked and not really sure what exactly it can be used for. You can also rent videos from the complex, although the selection is not that great and you can only have them for 24 hours.

The management is AWFUL. The girls that work in the office are young and snotty and generally treat the residents like they are a pain (although I can't understand where they think their paychecks are coming from!). I have been ignored, brushed off, and even locked out of the office (I was there right at 9 a.m. and the girl at the front desk was too busy on the phone to come and unlock the doors for me so it wasn't until 10 minutes later that a maintenence person unlocked the door for me -- and I was there to renew my lease!).

The grounds are somewhat maintained, although people throw a lot of trash around that is never picked up. They DO NOT SHOVEL in the winter. So, people, buy your own shovel and expect to be clearing some of your own walkways.

I did have a problem with my heat that was fixed immediately (and at 11 p.m.). However, when work is done in the apartment, it is shoddy and with no regard to your things. The replaced the toilet, but failed to replace the tile around the toilet, which required me to buy a carpet to hide the ugly, dirty layers of tile. They changed the heat to AC and left it on all day while I was at work, leaving my apartment an icebox, with dust and grime EVERYWHERE.

Although the place was quiet when I moved in, I have had a couple of trouble neighbors move in, requiring phone calls to the police for noise problems.
