Personally, I've lived in many places. Various states, cities, complexes, houses, condos, etc. From the tiniest crapholes to places of serene beauty. In the Vegas area alone, I've been in at least five seperate residences in different parts of town. None of them were as comfortable and homey as my apartment at Adobe Ranch.

Let me start by addressing the concerns I've come across from others. The staff I can't say much about, as I've almost never had to call them. The apartment was virtually in pristine condition when I moved in, save for some very minor wear and tear. The one thing we had a problem with was fixed in no time, and the girls working the office are nice and laid back. Since then, nothing has broken. I do see the maintainence guys around quite a bit, so I assume they're always working on someone's place. The grounds themselves are meticulously maintained, always looking excellent, and the garbage pickup is worth the ten bucks a month if you don't live right next to the trash compactor.

It should be noted that almost everyone here has a pet of some sort (mostly dogs), and there is a lot of lazy owners that don't clean up their poop. I don't blame the office for this, as little baggie stations are posted everywhere, as are several signs telling people to clean up after their own pets. Inconsiderate neighbors are a fact of life sometimes, but I tend to walk on the sidewalks and not through the grass, so poop isn't really a problem for me. Nor are the neighbors, as the walls are pretty thick here and I have a hard time hearing anyone. Sometimes I'll hear barking, but again, that's the dogs disturbing the peace, not people. Several neighbors hold loud parties in their apartments, as does the bar located behind the north wall. A simple close of the windows shuts all that out without trouble. Very impressive for an apartment.

Also very impressive to me is the bug problem, or lack thereof. I can't think of a single place prior to this that had so little insects. Never have I come across a roach, bug, or anything else crawling around in here. It's a freaking miracle. I hate bugs with a fury and the sheer lack of them has helped me stay very relaxed. Other things help too. The apartment tends to maintain a steady temperature with ease, has plenty of windows to let in light and air, and the balconies are the greatest. I even have a mountain and casino view, complete with palm trees. That's probably best-case scenario, as most of the apartments here lack this view.

Other things outside include a beautiful pool (which is closed a bit during winter, boo-hoo), a putting green nobody uses, a pretty cool work-out room with TV and towels, and a computer room that's not much of a replacement for your own computer. And hey, the pool has Wi-Fi. Tan and check your e-mail. Read a book. There's plenty of deckchairs. The location of the complex is surprisingly awesome, as you have access to anything you could possibly want while still being tucked away on a quiet suburban side-street. The mall and casino are right here, as are more restaurants than you ever thought you needed. I'm never bored and have a hard time holding onto my money. Which is hard anyway, as the rent is quite high. Which is to be expected I guess.

The inside is very nice if you're not 100% from-birth spoiled. If you're on the second floor, your stairs are inside of the apartment and fully carpeted, like a real house. The layouts are well-designed, with just the right amount of room for a couple or a pair of roomies. Everything is centralized to the living room, which is great if you like watching TV while you do virtually everything, including laundry. Walk-in closets are sizeable, but not huge. Extra storage room on the patio is a welcome addition. Optional garages are available for a hefty fee.

Overall, I'm very happy I moved here. I tried avoiding Henderson, but it turns out I couldn't find a place this nice in Vegas itself. I'm shocked anyone wouldn't recommend it, as I'm shocked how much I like it here. But who knows what it'll be like a few years down the road.

This was obviously written by the manager at Adobe Ranch! Take it with a grain of salt.....the other two most recent posts had it right with regards to all the problems here!
