We picked this place because of the security of gated entry and exit, the two pools and the fitness area. But we have not been given a key to enjoy any of these. We can not leave the premises without using a car since we don't have a key to open the gates. We are not able to use the pool since you need a key to get into and out of the pool area. And you also need the same key to use the fitness room. We moved to these apts especially because of these benefits but can't even take advantage of them. I do not recommend this place for people who want to have these extra amentities available to them.

What do you expect from a ghetto like Avalon? You didn't read the reviews before you moved in here? None of the things that are being said by these reviews are false, and now that Kendra's gone, the new manager Monique is even more useless/unhelpful than Kendra was, which I didn't think was possible. Because of her and the other incompetent twits running the leasing office, along with her unscreened tenants, we had a pool closed over the 4th of July by the health department, our fitness room is missing equipment, and this property has become quite the ghetto. Last week she tried to move a tenant into a unit that had exposed wiring, no plugs, no sinks or toilets, no appliances and no electricity. She promised this tenant that the unit was ready. After he informed her of the condition it was in, he was told that "It's only cosmetic" and he could wait until the weekend. After more complaining from him, she moved him into a unit where the tenants had only just moved out a few hours before, which was filthy and had water damage and needed a paint job. This tenant also threw food all over the gravel area, which was not cleaned up by the tenant or the leasing staff, but by the HOA manager herself. When Monique promised the remaining mess would be cleaned up, no one bothered showing up to do it. Perhaps in the future people will read the reviews before making the choice to move here. Go somewhere else, save yourself the time, money and stress.
