More than one "Horizon Ridge"

I wanted to clarify something that I think is a misunderstanding on this particular website. I just moved into "Horizon Ridge Luxury Villa Apartment Homes" as of November 2006. I think there is more than one property called "Horizon Ridge" though they are not affiliated with one another. The property is only one year young and everything in it is totally new, new carpet, cherry cabinets, flooring, appliances, etc. As I have been searching for something comparable to what I am accustomed to, being from the Silicon Valley (San Francisco Bay Area) and having built Aa custom 2.5 million dollar home, my standards of living are in direct proportion to what I was living in before my divorce. I cannot hear any neighbors as the walls and insulation are excellent, my unit was spotless and clean, totally new since there was only one tenant before me. The grounds are impeccable and the staff are educated, informed and very polite. If I am mistaken after reading all of the negative comments prior to mine than I must be blind and deaf because I do not relate at all to any of the previous complaints. This property is impeccable and of very high standards.
Also, spell check is a very simple option on pretty much all computers. I would recommend using it prior to posting a comment, especially when complaining because it only validates what my underlying message is here.
Cheers!

I hate to say it, but you must be blind and deaf. I too live here at Horizon Ridge Villas and I have had nothing but problems here. I was able to move into the last brand new building and have had multiple problems--the ac not working for 1 month, then stuck with the power bill after management said they would take care of it, the heater motor busted, noisy porn-star neighbors down below, thin walls and cheap windows, and now, scorpions--all of which the apartment management refuses to deal with. I've been here since May, and you're still new, so give it some time. Otherwise, the location is good.

Obviously you haven't been here long enough, you must be in with the nasty management prissy crew. Heard this saying before. If you hear the same thing enought don't you think it's true. I have had to many problems to even talk about.

I moved to the HORROR/Horizon Ridge Villas when they were only about six months old, there were sooo many promises about when the pool would open, when the guard gate would be in place, and when the gate would actually be a working gate...none of which happened as was told to me upon signing the lease. It was seven months before the pool was even completed and months after that it was even opened, or passed city codes. There were guards at on time, if you can call them security guards...not that I don't like the elderly, I do...I work with the elderly....but the guard was much to old to secure anything!!! As far as the office staff they have a great way of telling you to call later, or they don't respond at all. Beleive me if your rent is late, they'll come knocking!!! When I first saw the place I thought it was beautiful, but pricy. But there have been many dissapointments. Once there was even a fire in the parking lot, and thanks to my son in law who was visiting, he was able to recuse a man fron a flame engulfed automobile, the security at that time was slow to respond. Or how about the neighbors that puck over the balcony, and throw parties til early morning hours. If the walls could talk, there would be an endless number of HORROR stories. I've lived there for almost two years..why so long you ask? Well it's not cheap to move, not only does it take money, but time off from work, or scheduling time for the move! Anyway, I will let the two year lease end and will find the time and money to get out of Dodge...HRV!! It's a pity, because the area is great, and it could be a great place to live, if there was pride, in the community of Horizon Ridge Villas, both from staff, owners and residents. |

I lived at Horizon Ridge "Luxury Villa" Apartment Homes at 2575 Horizon Ridge for 2 years and these negative reveiws seem quite accurate to me. The buildings are not insulated, they were thrown together as cheaply as possible, the walls are paper thin, managment is non-responsive and extremely rude, the water and refuse removal charges are a rip off (I was gone for a month and received a water bill for over $45!), the pool is filthy most of the time and even shut down by the health department twice while I was there, and when you move out you WILL NOT get your deposit back and you WILL be charged excessive fees for carpeting, cleaning and anything else they can tack on. Moving into this building will be a mistake you will regret long after you leave.
