I lived in Horizon Ridge Villas for 8 months. I had a 6 month lease, then went month to month after that. The property from the outside is beautiful and my apartment was beautiful as well, but it is not worth the money. Also, the walls are very thin and I could always hear my neighbors that had 2 small children...not fun when you're trying to relax or sleep from a hard day's work.
Also, whatever security deposit you put down, you will not get back. I had my apartment professionally cleaned before I moved out, but I got charged with a cleaning fee. I also got charged with a broiler pan fee suggesting I stole it. LOL! Ironic thing is, I NEVER cook. I'm a single professional person and I don't have time nor do I know how to be honest.
There are so many nicer AND cheaper apartments out there. Don't get caught up on the extremities...you will not be happy once you live there. I would even suggest looking into renting a condo. I found a 2 bed/2 bath, 1200 sq ft for $900/month. This place is 4 years old and beautiful. Just make sure it's not in foreclosure before you rent it.
Good luck!

This review is spot on. I know of four people who have lived at Horizon Ridge Villas and NO ONE (myself included) has got a penny back in security deposit.
I was charged over $700 for carpet replacement after I moved out. We are clean people with no children and no pets. We had the apartment professionally cleaned yet HRV's still pulled all our carpet out and sent us a bill.
A friend of mine was charged $1,100 for paint, cleaning and carpet replacement after she moved out. A third friend was charged $200 for cleaning after they moved out. A fourth person was charged just over $50 for cleaning.
Bottom line, if you don't want to be charged horrendous fees for "cleaning" or carpet removal, keep looking. This place sucks.
