I've lived here for over a year and a half and there are waves of good and bad experiences. Unfortuneately, the bad experiences out-weigh the good. It starts with being promised to have our names listed in the call box at the front gates, but, still to this day have to walk all the way to the front gate to let my guests in. The pool has been closed throughout the whole summer.
First, without notice it was closed for a couple of weeks due to "uncertified staff". The manager said that she was in the process of hiring a maintenance manager. Finally, it was opened for about 10 days then a bright yellow sign was posted by the Health Department saying that the "main drain was not visable". The complex has been there for almost ten years and the health department is only now citing the "problem"' B.S.
The office staff is another problem, every time that I call (which is rare; I don't want to become a problem tenant, I wait until I have a few issues before calling) I get rushed off the phone instead of being told, "Is there anything else you need'", I get rushed off the phone. I then have to interupt her to tell her my second issue. I ask for very simple things, fumigation, air filter change, but yet it takes FOREVER to get it done. When I call the office to see what the hold up is, I get b.s. answers instead of saying, I became distracted and forgot to put in the order. I'll accept that, it's happened to me.
I also called regarding my washer that smelled of old mildew. Not only did the machine smell like it but the water filling the machine smelled like it. I have hundreds of dollars worth of clothes that now smell like mildew. Not even dryer sheets or top dollar detergent get the smell out. The maintenance manager told me to put baking soda in the wash; is it that simple to solve all the issues at hand'

It doesn't help that the staff is only nice when they need something also. And can you believe that the day that I turn in my $900 rent check, I needed water so I filled up my 32 oz water jug from the cooler in the office -- I was immediately told that I cannot use that water, it was for "staff only" (as if I was going to say ok, I'm sorry, then dump it out). I couldn't believe my ears, I even had to ask her to repeat herself.
I am a friendly person by nature but the office staff brings out the worst in me. I am made to feel like a pest when I call and the manager can't even wave when I pass. I guess $900 a month for a 1 bd doesn't come with courtesy and customer service.
I give safety and cleanliness a 10 but the service a 2.5. Remember: Nobody wants to eat at a clean restaurant where the waiter spits in your food. Thanks for reading, I'm out.
