Do Not Be Fooled By The Location

I have never experienced anything like this, and never will. This place is a third world dump. In Henderson? The initial draw was the move-in of $225. I was shown an apartment that was decent. After signing the paperwork and given keys, I returned a day later to discover the apartment mysteriously had been rented to another person (lie), and another unit was offered. I collected the keys, then found the unit. Upon opening the door, the smell of dog urine was overwhelming, and the air conditioner was not working. I immediately returned to the office. She had left for the day (it was 4:00pm). I was livid. Victoria is the most aloof, unprofessional manager I've ever experienced. This apartment was full of defects. I was amazed to see in the bathrooms, a medicine cabinet being the only mirror. A child could not use them (they were placed entirely to high). Paint splotches were everywhere around the apartment. The laundry area was filthy. The main window was the wrong size and could not be locked. The shared patio was dirty and when you step on it, the creaking noise was hilarious. All floors inside creaked as well. When stepping into the shower, the liner was cracked with sharp edges and you felt as if you would fall through. Under close inspection, the baseboards were hideous (you could see animal hair through the paint). I was amazed to discover how thin the walls were. There was nothing you could not hear from the neighbors next door or beneath. The managers friends (drug dealers) would constantly come and go. They made sure you would hear them by cranking up their stereo systems with the ridiculous bass all hours of the day. There is no breed restriction, and yes, the bad dogs are present. The police are always there. The grounds are filthy, as are the walkways. The carports have debris and junk thrown on top of them. Tenants speak of the (alledged) drug use (pills) by the manager (which would explain her lethargic inertness). I would have never guesssed this could be allowed in Henderson. Perhaps the foreign-owned shameless greedy third world mindset is excepted and those who regulate the codes have turned a blind eye for fear of being labeled. If the inexpensive move-in catches your attention, do yourself a fovor.
Rent a weekly instead. Even that will be a step above this dump.
