Now seriously, looking at the 2x2 upon arrival, I found the maintenance upkeep to be WELL UNDER PAR. I pride myself on being a Union Operating Engineer, possessing the knowledge to make the needed repairs and adjustments possible to call this apartment, "home". When you move into an apartment, granted things break down due to purchasing the lowest cost fixtures/parts, but come on, what's spending an extra $20-$40 on a higher quality plumbing parts' More money, less upkeep, longer life. But to walk through the "apartment home" and see careless mistakes such as paint on doorknobs, broken tracks for laundry doors, corroded sinks/plumbing, screen doors that don't open correctly, windows that screech open, water heater supply lines suffering from severe cases of electrolysis, and such. If this were North Las Vegas, such standards would be acceptable. We live in Henderson, Green Valley, prestigious schools and neighborhoods, truly almost the all american town, only to be shadowed by such unacceptable living conditions. Sure a paint job, new accents, new signage and such may give the complex a much needed facelift, but you still can't change the fact that more training is needed on both the maintenance staff and leasing staff. The staff is not dishonest; we received a superior rating on our last anonymous survey this year.(Let's think about how that sounds, "superior rating-anonymous survey", hmm, could the management have something to do with that') The application was falsified; our military discount is for active military only(so I guess you only need protection when it's convenient), and specials are only given on approved credit, so if your credit is poor, YOU DON'T GET A SPECIAL(Little cheap shot there!). All of our flyers say "OAC" right on them.(How about people getting out on their own for the first time and don't udnerstand what "OAC" stands for!) Obviously this person was not qualified for the promotions. We are very strict on our rental criteria because we want only the most qualified persons to rent here,(So wouldn't that be profiling' Or in Fair housing terms, "blockbusting") so that we are providing our residents with the living experience that they deserve and expect.(Try actually listening to the residents and hearing what they have to say. Then make educated decisions after. Not try to blast them on this website)
