They will nickle and dime you for every penny you have. You think they have a nice pool area''' It is closed almost half the year, then the other half the staff has all their family members come in and "party" by the pool so forget even going.* By party I mean large amounts of people not just people who live in the complex. In the lease agreement it clearly states that you are allowed two visitors per resident.*when asked three different employees gave three different reason why the pool area is now closed. One answer was is was too expensive to run in the winter, one stated the residents were throwing glass in the pool, and one stated about the new law because a child drowned in another state. They allow large breed dogs and have quite a few pit bulls and other vicious type breeds, yet they say they are family friendly.*the allowing of large breeds was made months after I signed the lease. The complex never told the residents of the lease change. They tell you one thing and do another. They charge an extra 30 a month for utilities, but they will tell you when you lease that it is less than 15 a month total.*ask to see a bill so you know what you are paying before you move in. It is a terrible place to live. Look around please. This place is worse than the streets!!!!!

I am not sure which apartment community this person lives in, but he or she is not talking about the same community in which I live. I will start with the complaint about the "community pool". Currently the pool is closed and has been for a couple of months now, but in fairness it is not closed due to any rule created by the staff or management of the community...currently a law has been revised (Article 680-12 of the National Electrical Code or NEC which refers to everyone's pool, pools not just the one at this complex)which now requires the installation of a disconnect switch. This switch, from what I have been told, cannot be installed by anyone other than a licensed professional installer which I am sure have been working very hard to get all the pools in the area fitted and I am sure this community is not a priority because someone wants to go swimming during the winter months. Secondly, it should not matter, and doesn't to most residents (including myself), that the staff or their families utilize the pool and pool area...after all it is for community use and they are, last time I looked, part of the community. Next issue, the large breed dogs. It clearly states in the lease agreement and is expressed up front during the leasing process that large breed dogs are welcomed here so if any resident does not want to live around large breed dogs then this is not the community for them and they should have made that decision prior to moving here not complain about it afterwards. As for this being a family community, I agree that it is and most dog owners see their dog, whatever breed it may be, as part of that family. Now in regards to the utilities and the payment, not once during my time here have I ever been made to believe one thing and something else happen. All the staff here is straight forward and will often times go out of their way to help the residents I have experienced and witnessed this first hand. The utilities are stated during the leasing process and it is told to you during the process before papers are signed that you will pay water/sewage/trash and that should generally not exceed approximately $45 monthly not the $15 stated ($15 wont even cover the users monthly water use let alone the sewage/trash). Some people love to fabricate stories or "stretch the truth" to make themselves look like victims when if fact this is not the case. The Verona Apartment Homes are a wonderful place to live whether you are single, a couple or have a family. I understand everyone has their opinions and they are welcomed to them, but don't add lies to your opinion in an attempt to validate yourself. I would highly recommend this community if you are looking to move to the Las Vegas/Henderson area.

It is not a case of swimming, but the bbq area, party area and hot tub are all closed as well. The conveinence store wasnt even available until halfway through our lease. What are we paying for then? The workout room? Give me a break. Also the office doesnt know their own lease changes, because when I moved here last year I was told I could not have a pitbull breed, then this year all dogs are accepted. There should also not be 70lb dogs allowed on the second floor when the bottom floors can hear every step.I know because there has been more than one above me. I also found out the reason the pool is closed is bs. The apartments across the way which are owned by Ovation also, have had their pool open all winter!! Horrible management at this property.
