Home owners make terrible renters!

As a very picky renter, I want to be fair. If you own a large dog (like me), this is a great place. Very nice grassy boulevard to walk your dog outside the complex, AND an awesome dog park within walking distance too. Amazingly, the complex is pretty quiet, in spite of all the dogs!
(If you don't own a large dog though, definitely look at around. You have SO MANY choices.)
Theft is a problem, but it's not complex specific. It seems to be everywhere. This complex is installing security gates. I think the grounds are kept up nicely. Somebody is always walking around pushing a trash can picking up after lazy tenants. Haven't used the pool or gym, so I don't know if they're clean (hours are too limited due to security issues--told they'll change after the gates are completed).
Maintenance people are very nice here. Neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves. Everybody I've encountered was very polite and friendly though.

Security gates always just give the impression of security. If someone wants in badly enough, they'll get in. The only real security you can have living anywhere is a security system (which will only inform you when there's something already taking place) or living somewhere where the rent/mortgage is INSANE in a GUARD GATED COMMUNITY. Don't believe for one minute that some pansy little gates will protect anyone.
