Endless complaints

When my fiance and I initially looked at this complex over a year and a half ago, we found it to be quiet, secluded, and cute. When offered the "upgrades" of Berber carpet, hardwood in the bathrooms and kitchen, and stainless steel appliances, we jumped at the chance. Upon moving in we found that the hardwood flooring had been haphazardly laid and the wood glue seeping up through the slats. At that point, assuming they had just been rushed, I got down on the floor and cleaned the gunk off. What they considered Berber carpets looks to be run of the mill and it was so poorly laid that it has already started to come up (it's just the two of us and we RARELY have company).

Now, almost two years later, our fabulous new stainless steel kitchen faucet has gotten a hole in it, and I'm not talking about in a normal place. At the bend of the faucet there appears to be rust and water leaks from it. This is most likely a defect in the product from the manufacturer, but I can tell you that anything like that had to have been cheap. Much cheaper than the increase in rent that we pay for such "upgrades".

I agree totally with previous comments regarding the security gates on the 3800 side of the complex. Of course, the 3900 side has the kind of gates that ensure that people will not "ram" them, if they do, they simply are not getting in. We were also told by one of the office staff, I believe it was Neil, that we were on the "bad side" making it all too obvious that they are aware of the horrible conditions on this side, but do not make any attempts to fix it. The fact that he made that comment alone could cost management their managing license. The mail room is consistently broken into, no matter how much "security" they put on it and when the door jam is busted it takes them a week to weeks to fix it, allowing those who do not pay attention to closing it to leave it open for yet another opportunity for someone to steal the mail.

All these are very frustrating, valid complaints, but the last one that I have come across is the fact that our water bill was raised almost $40 and when confronted the office staff chalked it up to a leaking fire hydrant (that maintenance did not locate for two months, mind you) and that all tenants would be charged more to cover the loss. As most would already know or assume, a situation like this would leave the property management company or owner liable for such loss payments. Not we, the tenants.

To some of the comments I've seen posted from an anonymous poster stating that those tenants who are frustrated and fed up ban together, I agree. We need to find a way to contact one another and petition these issues to the office. I have already sent a detailed email to NWP and Milestone Management, but let's take it one step further. I don't plan to be here a whole lot longer, but that does not mean that I don't feel it is important for others to get what they pay for.
