My rent was ended at the end of July, 2006. When I went back to them to check my deposit three weeks after moving out, they told me I owed them 40 dollars for cleaning things. So next morning, I went back to pay it. Their office was not opened, so I dropped my check at the slip just like I previously did with a gate opener. Two months after then, I got a letter from collection company charging me 40 dollars. So I went back there to prove I already paied that money. I requested a copy of check I paid to Amalfi. And they said they were very sorry and promised to take care of my record. I just trusted what she said. But they didn't. I just don't understand what happened to their brain. Two weeks ago, I was shocked again when I checked my credit score, which was dropped down by 120 points because of that record (my full credit record is excellent except that 40 dollar flaws). My wife and I planned to lease a car and buy a house next month. But our plan will be ruined thanks to their fault. Ten days ago, a manager told me it probably took a week to find my record. After ten days, however, I still have the same problem. I just cannot believe why this kind of things keep happening to me all year long.
