i lived here for almost a year (may 05 to feb 06). when i moved in, although the apartments were old, they were nice enough. then i started to have really bad roach problems. my roommate and i went out and bought roach traps, and bug spray. we had the exterminator (a service provided by management) come in every tuesday and spray. but the bugs became worse. this went on for months! by january it got to the point were we would find roaches (day or night) all over the apartment. on a daily basis my rommate and i would kill about 3 dozen (BIG and small) roaches. when we would sleep at night, roaches would crawl across us in our beds! i couldn't have anyone over, it was embarrassing having others see the roaches all over! one morning while getting dressed, i had a roach fall out the bottom of my pants leg! we couldn't even keep food in the apartment, for fear of the roaches. it was bad enough that we had to see them all the time, but they were also inside the refrigerator!!! both my rommate and i talked to the apartment manager on several occassions, but it was like she didn't even believe us. finally the end of january, we went to the corporate office of the management company to speak to someone there. we were told to leave, that no one would speak to us! i spoke to the apartment manager later that day, and she even had the nerve to tell me we did NOT have a roach infestation! WHAT!'!' eventually (after we turned in our 30 day notice) they sent the exterminator to "bomb" the entire building (there was 16 apartments to our building - 8 on each side). however, they only bombed in the kitchen area! obviously not doing anything about the bedrooms! and yes, we still found roaches!
when i moved into the complex, i enjoyed it. it was close by everything i needed. but when you have a management staff that could care less about the health conditions of the apartments, it quickly turned in to hell. it was unsanitary!! no one should have to live like that! i wouldn't even send my worst enemy there to live!
