My car was broken into. I couldn't get the window fixed until 2 days later. I asked if security could keep an eye out. My car was broken into AGAIN within 2 days of the first time.

Office staff was unfair. I had a downstairs neighbor who worked graveyard. Needless to say he did not like us walking above him at 3pm. He complained and got his way. Finally they let me out of my lease. What management company would just let you go if you were the one in the wrong' Wouldn't that be an eviction''' Don't let me forget how they sent a delinquency notice of rent close to the 20th of the month. When I went in ready to have an argument because my check was cashed, they sure found the copy of it within 5 minutes of me coming into the office. Why not do that before you send me a delinquency notice' Can we get anymore unprofessional'''

As the Property Director of this community for more than four years, I feel that I must rebutt the comments made by this former resident. It is true that their car was broken into but in a city that is ranked third in the nation for auto theft and burglury, the chances of this happening on any multifamily housing community are increased. At Avion, we have taken every step possible to try and keep our communtiy crime free but we have the same problems that the metropolitain police have in that we can not be everywhere at all times.
I must also note that when someone is as unhappy at our community as this person was, we do not want them to feel that we are holding them hostage. It is not usual to let someone out of their lease but we felt that this resident had valid reason to move because of the incidents with their vehicle and tried to respond as compassionatly as possible.
In regards to the noise complaints, it is our responsibility to respond to all complaints received. The perception of nuisance is different for each individual resident and we try to mediate the problems the best that we can. Unfortunately, some people are not ever going to agree with the perception of their neighbors and the best solution os often to try and relocate one of the tenants to keep the peace.
Finally, I must say that anytime I hear or read a negative review of my property or my staff, I am extremely disturbed and I will take the comments of the residents seriously and try to avoid this perception of Avion from being reflected in future commentaries
