Where a Double Standard in Rental Application is a standard practice

I just rented an RMI property in Las vegas and I decided to apply at Chapel Hill. Their application and application requirements are identical to those at a sister property named Meadows where I have excellent rental history. Not to mention, my rent was paid a few months ahead of time! I had been given the approval on a tuesday by a staff member and was denied 48 hours later by the manager on site with the condition that I show proof from the credit agency of a disputed account on my credit report. I advised the manager that it would be nearly impossible for me to do so given that a removal of an account on ones personal credit report can take a long time. I educated him on the process and he was either apathetic or completely ignorant on the subject. I advised him my credit was the same as it was including all the other reference criteria that was just recently used at a previous RMI property. The property manager could have cared less on what I had to say. Basically, he ignored all of the rental criteria and the reputable organization where I have been emplyed for the last 5 years. He put words in my mouth to aggravate me and make me believe that I was the one trying to dissuade from the facts when he simply was discouraging me from applying there. I went to the corporate office at trade center. I had been there previously to pick up my deposit that for some reason, it simply had not been mailed to me within the stated "30 day" policy. Margaret- who apparently doesn't go by a last name or much less has the professional etiquette to introduce yourself in public at her office, din't seem to pleased to see me there. After explaining to her the experience that I just had from Chapel Hill she basically tried to protect her staff at Chapel HIll by stating that they use "their own special qualifying criteria" to accept an applicant. I asked her : "where is the disclosure on you application and rental requirement citeria'"
Because I just rented at another rmi property with the identical set of criteria'
She looked at me with a blank look at her face and responded: "we represent the owners and we go by their decisions for what constitutes our rental criteria requirements". I asked her for the names of the owners of Chapel Hill so that I may be explained as to this "misterious special criteria" and she referred me to "look it up in the internet". Now, abviously if you are a "reasonable person" you and I can understand that this experience has been one of subjectivity that potrays a double standard that is utilized at RMI. We the applicants are not given a disclosure that we are "subject" to other special undisclosed set of criteria that only the manager and margaret at corporate rmi know about". And if you ask to get clarification on this...you get the run around. Essentially, what Margaret-The head HONCHO at RMI who oversees Chapel Hill property ( on behalf of these mystery owners)-is not able to and is not willing to disclose this business practice. It shows the lack of professional and ethical behavior from RMI. So, at CHapel HIll what they try to tell you in their assinine approach is the following: A1 renters only apply here! and if you've got some issues on your credit report, you're not good enough to rent here, but we've got other properties where "people like you" can go rent... BE WARNED
AND FILE A COMPLAINT...I did not want to believe any negative comments previously written by former applicants and guess what' DEJA VU....is so true.
