I lived in this complex for 7 months. We rented the apartment over the phone having looked at photos on line as we were moving from Indiana. While on the phone the staff were courteous and helpful. After a 5 day road trip we signed the lease collected our keys and opened our apartment. There were dead bugs on the carpets. I walked in and said we are not going to stay here, we will look for another apartment once our lease is up, the atmosphere in the apartment was awful. The carpets were not very clean, the paint job was very bad, aint having been trailed on the carpets. All the kitchen fixtures were of the cheapest lowest grade and after approx 2 years of being used were already looking old and worn, the staff even told us how to clean the cabinets so as the "wood effect" wouldnt peel off (LUXURY'''') I would expect granite countertops and real wood cabinets with good taps(fawcets), not the cheap shoddy stuff that was in here. The layout is really bad and wastes a lot of the sq foot you are paying for, the soundproofing is inferior.........i could go on but you get the idea luxury it isnt.
The common areas were for the most part well maintained, sometimes the pool could have done with being cleaner and one time the jacuzzi was coated in a thick sludge and it took them a couple of days to get it cleaned.
The luxury effects were kept for the offices and entertaining areas which were spotless, however every time we went to the office the staff haughty and acted like everything was too much trouble.
We waited out our lease, taking great care to find an aartment block that is right for us. We totally love where we are now.
When we got our deposit back they had deducted a fee for carpet cleaning and touch up painting, even though we cleaned the apartment from top to bottom including cleaning and scotch guarding the carpets and doing a touch up on the paintwork oursleves.
I called the leasing office and the girl had the audacity to have an arguement with me on the phone. I have every intention of requesting a full refund of the amounts they charged as I have pictures of every single room, the carpets and even inside the fridge and oven so can prove we left it spotless.Oh and half the exercise equipement doesnt work..........in the gym room.
The girls here made me feel like I was inferior every time I went into the office, they look down their noses at you like your something on teh bottom of thier shoes.
The maintence staff however are very friendly and do thier best to help otas much as they can.
DO NOT RENT HERE, ITS OVERPRICED FOR WHAT THEY OFFER, THE AIR CONDITIONING IS APPAULINGLY LOUD FOR A BLOCK THAT IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD, WHEN ITS RUNNING THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN HEAR MUSIC OR LISTEN TO THE TV IS BY TURNING THE SOUND UP THEN WHEN THE AIR TURNS OFF YOU TURN IT DOWN OR BLAST YOUR EARS OFF.
We have now moved to a camden property, I wish we had found this on line first, ITS GREAT. for only $100 a month more we got a larger better planned apartment with a garage.

Camden properties are a lot less selective to who they screen and allow in their properties.
