I have lived in Copper Canyon for almost a year. (my lease is up in April, I cant wait)
I have never come across a more unprofessional managment in my life. They are always on their cell phones, or talking about very unapropriate topics when I walk in to talk to them, or pay my rent. I walked in last month to pick up a package and they where discussing a resident and how trashy she is. It always seems like I am interupting them, and they really seem like they are just not interested in helping residents. They have people in the office until 11 pm, but I have not yet figured out why; they cannot help you with anything, if you ask them for something, need to pick up a package, want to pay your rent, or need help; they will always tell you to come back between 8-5. The grounds are pitiful for what you pay in rent. They are not totally dumpy, but you could get the same thing for about $200 less per month elsewhere.
I had a problem with trash collecting under the stairs by my front door, and had to call 7 times over 5 months to get someone to come clean it up. The trash by the back pool is always full, I have seen residents emptying it, since the grounds staff wont. There is dog poop everywhere, and people have no idea how to watch their kids, more than once I have seen kids as young as 4 wandering around the pool with no adult in sight. I call the office, and all they say is, "thats not good". They dont bother to take the apartment number or name of the childs parents?
The walls are so thin, I can hear everything my neighbors do; and based on the noise level, I am certain the people upstairs own an elephant. They seem to be walking around 24/7. I have never complained to the office about the noise since I half expected it living on the bottom; but the insulation is so bad, that you hear EVERYTHING. I honestly cannot beleive that for $900 per month for a 2 bedroom, the grounds and managment are so poor. I was paying the same amount for an apartment in a different complex, and it was 10x the complex. Based on my experience here; I would emplore anyone not to move here, and I am looking to get as far away from Copper Canyon as possible. I will be checking reviews on any community I am thinking about, maybe talk to a few of the residents first.
