My husband, three children, and I lived at Coral Gardens from 2003-2006. I have got to be honest when I say we were more than happy to have left. During our three years we experienced so much, not to mention the many DRUG DEALS that took place right in the parking lot. SWAT breaking the windows into an apartment, a stabbing, a robbery, many AUTO THEFTS, and plenty of domestics involving what some may consider the foulest neighbors out there, and the cheery on the cake was driving home to the las Vegas CSI team with yellow tape baracading three buildings as they investigated an apartment that was shot up by a man with an AK-47. It was the poorest ran establishment I have seen in my life time. The matienence team was a joke, they had one gentleman Jimmy who was awesome however, when he left the whole crew went down the tubes. It was no place for THE HUMAN RACE!!! The apartments are nothing like the models or what is portrayed on the net. Please DO NOT BEE FOOLED...............this is basically an DAYS INN from the mid seventies!!! They have cat walks on the top floor and the bottom floors were no better. The air conditioners were as old as my gramndmother and as loud as her 1970 Chevy Nova. I would like to give you all a heads up as far as Nevada Power is concerned, in the summer months (june-sept) our bill was nefver less than 250$ and sometimes over 300$. In an nut shell this place called Coral Gardens in beyond livable. You would be better off at Budget Suites up the street. The prices are rediculous, the property is nasty, the laundry facility is a joke (STACKABLE W/D AVAILABLE IN THE UNIT HOWEVER THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THEM), the so called STAFF is hideous, and the neighborhood is foul. This is no place for kids, and the scools are considered AT RISK SCHOOLS. Ya'll can go to the clark county school district and review the accountability reports, they will make ones skin crawl!!!!! wE END THIS REVIEW WITH A FINAL THOUGHT...............IF PRICE IS YOUR REASON FOR CONTEMPLATING MOVING TO CORAL GARDENS .............PLEASE ASK YOURSELF WHAT PRICE IS YOUR LIFE WOTH'

I have to admit that I haven't lived there since early in 05, but unless there has been a major shakeup in management and staff since then, I'd still consider moving back. I always felt it comfortable and safe. EVEN THOUGH MY CAR WAS STOLEN. Cops told me that could have happened anywhere. Same with gang shoot em ups...and other nuts with guns. HOWEVER, I would never consider living on the "east side" of the complex as it seemed to be a "section 8 slum". I lived alone and my electric bills were rarely over $100 in the summer time...but the places are NOT very well insulated. If your bills were that high, maybe teaching your kids to turn off the lights and raise the a/c temp a few degrees might have helped. In the house I l just left, my wife and I cut our utilities by over a hundred a month just by changing lightbulbs from 60-90 watters down to 40 watt bulbs. and raising the thermostat to 78 and running fans helped too. YES, the air conditioners are old, but THEY WORK FINE. And I wish I had your grandmother's 70 nova! Aa far as the schools...QUIT blaming the school. IF the kids were taught some proper behaviors and the teachers were backed up a little by the parents, kids would again begin to learn. The schools are not AT RISK because of the school OR the teachers...parents ought to take a good look in the mirror. And one final comment. If you are THAT unhappy with them, why did you live there so long? Metro can provide information on neighborhood quality. More problems occur across Harmon, in the HOUSES than happen at CG.
