From the outside, the building actually looks pretty nice. Inside is another story. The first 'floor' is the parking garage. It is completely rancid from dog & human piss. The floor is greasy from never being cleaned, & there are piss marks on all the support risers for the building. The front office is a disgusting maroon & white from the glory days of vegas. The passenger elevators have been out of service 4 out of 7 days a week & desperately need work. In fact, we've been told to use the freight elevator until they are remodeled. The hallway carpets are stained & smell from mold. The trash chutes are moldy & disgusting from never being cleaned. I've asked the cleaning lady to actually clean the trash chutes, but she doesnt speak english (what a shock).
The noise is horrible. My upstairs neighbor has an autistic 3 year old son who she lets jump on the bed constantly. I've been up there to talk to her about it three times now & it gets worse everytime. There are enormous dogs throughout the building that bark all the time. I was told there was a 25lb weight limit for dogs, but obviously that isnt enforced because there are several 70lb dogs in the building. The 'dog run' is revolting. It sits behind Country Club Towers parking garage & has no grass what so ever. Having no grass to absorb the dog piss, the whole thing wreaks from 50' away. Also, no one cleans up after their pet. The apartments themselves are somewhat small & oddly layed out. The kitchen is small & the appliances are really old. There are mirrors everywhere, lined with gold accents that make the place look like an 80s porn movie set. The carpets have burn marks from ciggs all over the place. The washer/dryer are laughable. They hold 4 tshirts & one pair of pants each load.
There is advertised free 98 channel cable TV with every movie channel. Although this is not true because Dish Network has steadily moved channels from the ones you get, to higher channels that arent included. So far they've moved 8 channels that are free with any other cable company. I have contaced Dish Network about this problem & they told me it is the responsibility of Crystal Court to request those channels be restored. After talking with the manager Patricia, she told me it is "not her job to deal with cable". No other response was given.
Another downside is that you have to use Embarq for the internet/phone because the complex wont allow Cox to run a line to any apartments. Obviously Embarq has a deal with the management. The pool looks decent, but I have yet to see anyone out there. The back apartments have views of the strip, & you can see the Stratoshere & Circus Circus from the balcony.
Stay away from this place. While the manager is very nice at first, once you sign a lease they don't care about anything. Do a Google search for the apartments name & You'll come up with ripoff reports from numerous other residents. Be smart, don't rent here.

Wow!! Sorry to hear of these problems, Sogni! How time flies... I moved into the MARK I TOWER at 1020 D.I. Road just the other day -- on July 2, 1976, to be exact. CCT and MARK I were to of the two top addresses in Las vegas back then in the mid-1970s... Only Regency Towers was a better address. I was considering to move to the CTT in 1997 when I decided to move out of the Mark I, but moved into a house instead. I am not sure when this Crystal Place went up, but back in 1977 there was nothing in-between Country Club Towers and Mark I Towers on the north side ofd D.I. Hard to believe that in that formerly top area, things have gotten this bad! And the prices!! California sounds cheap in comparison! And they have the Ocean, at least.
