Life and apartment living is what you make it. I made my apartment into a very nice home. My oven, yes it doesn't cook as well as a more expensive stove, but this is apartment living, not what you would buy personally. The altitude has some bearing on cooking. Garbage disposals, I was a apartment manager for about 5 years, and most people don't know how to use a garbage disposal, you can't put rice or noddles in one, and you must run "cold" water the entire time and about 2 minutes after use. No grease..My apartment has the original one and I use it EVERY DAY..But I know how to use it..P.S. I am a female :-).. My car has been parked in the parking lot 10 years, not one dent. Carpets, I have the same ones, but I vacumn, have them steam cleaned, keep mats at the front door. I am lucky to have nice neighbors, not all neighbors are the same. I see adults doing worse things in the pool and spa than kids..I also see the mess that people leave when they move out, It is awful. Nothing is perfect, but I am happy with my life, my apartment (my home) and the staff at Durango Canyon, I find them to be helpful, good customer service. Maintence, just good, hard wortking people, who are under paid..The forman has been here since day one and he cares.. Yes the upstairs patio leaks, but that is a construction problem, poor construction all over Las Vegas by highly paid construction workers who don't give a hoot..Safety, this is a large city, better than other cities this large..I agree there should be a restriction on the number of people in one apartment unit, and they can do this, because they charge for water use..Move in and move out.. it is your money, so therefore protect it, by being there, insist on it..Don't leave your expection up to someone else. Take Charge... Our world is in a hole world of hurt right now, all steaming from creed and people expecting too much from what they give. If you give more, you will get more. Find a positive way to make you life better, stop blaming the world and the little guy. You get back from the universe what you put out there.. Good Luck and have a Happy Life... I am happy with my life, my home and I am un-employed, but I must maintain a positive outlook. God for it and stop being so un-happy..

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A VERY UNFORTUNATE SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES. HOWEVER THE QUESTION TO YOU WOULD BE IF DURANGO CANYON WAS SUCH A HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE THEN WHY DID YOU CONTINUE TO OCCUPY THE PROPERTY FOR SUCH AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME?

Because it very expensive to move, I am a fugal person, who is in charge of my life and I accept that that if people care they would do something different, but I make a habit of not owning their poor judgement in how to treat people. People come and go and they lose their money in moving expenses. I bank my money and just accept that things may get better, they surely can't get any worse. I laugh all the way to the bank with my saved money. Deposits, mving trucks cost money. At least I have a priority in my life. Service and caring more should be the priority of the management staff. Good Luck on your improvement
