I live in a one bedroom on the North side. I love the floor plan and it's openness but there is nothing more that i like. It took over a week for maintenance to come fix our broken toilet. In a one bedroom/1 bathroom, this was awful! It usually takes maintenance days to fix anything. I have had to call more than once to get something fixed because they lost the ticket or forgot.
This apartment was advertised at $865 in the apartment guide, but when i got here, it was $895 plus $20/month for water/sewer/gas. They happened to be out of the $865 apartments... blah blah blah... then dont advertise it.
When we moved in it smelled so bad of smoke that we had to leave all the doors and windows open for days in the middle of august and call in a chemical cleaning company. The carpets were "new" yet stained. The refrigerator was not plugged in and the water line to the ice maker was cut. The bathtub constantly backs up no matter how many times its snaked or has drain-o poured in it. the washing machine constantly breaks down and when they finally took it apart in my kitchen, the washer was full of bugs, hair and cat food. Maintenance left the mess of all that on my kitchen floor by the way for me to clean up. There is no one to call at night and our neighbor throws parties every other weekend til all hours of the night and has his buddies use all the covered parking. We wake up with beer cans and cigarettes in all of our bushes. Cops are here at least twice a month. We have had shootings and there was a rumor of a baby in the dumpster. The tennis courts are on the South side and are unusable/ Kids run around it, ride their bikes on it, and color with chalk all over it. Parents use the tennis courts as a big play pen and yell at players when we kick the kids off the courts. None of the gym equipment on the north side works. The pins are missing in the weight machines, the cords are cut, the stationary bike seats have holes in them, there is no door on the racquetball courts, and the pool is usually overrun by kids who are trying to sneak away from their parents and smoke pot with other kids.
I cant wait until our lease is up and we move out of here in August! Worst place i have ever lived and I've lived in Vegas my entire life!

Amen if you find a nice place post it because this place sucks. ohh yeah if you move out and you have a deposit, say goodbye to it, they will charge you for EVERYTHING thats wrong

We just moved in a wk ago and I too hate it already! It is not at all what they advertise and I have to go out side every morning, afternoon and evening to clean up dog ---- before my 1 1/2 yr. old grandson can go out to play. Also the garbage disposal smells like something died in it, the dishwasher which is as old as the apt. does not work, the microwave is falling apart and the trash around the complex is freakin out of control. We signrd a yr. lease and as far as I'm concerned the False advertisement on their part is grounds for termination, I Will Not Stay Here A Year. Also there is no storage, the closets don't hold crap and I'm sorry but for $1250.00 a month we can get a lot better elsewhere! I say we all get together and make one huge complaint to management.

please dont fall for the line they use before you sign your lease. they will say that they will challenge you to find a better place. take that challenge and find a better place. worst place I have ever lived.

I'm new to Vegas and I was thinking about moving to Durango Canyon. After reading all these negative reviews, I am re-thinking my decision. Can anyone recommend another complex where I can find a 2 bedroom under $1000? Thank you.
