Lets start at the beginning... 3 of us moved into Durango Canyon as our first apartment. The staff at first was super nice, very friendly, willing to help. Then once we moved in and they got our MONEY they changed overnight. When we first did our walk through we noted lots of things wrong with the apartment, including our taped-together microwave, a patched door which looked like it had been punched in, a screen door which was stuck off the track, the dishwasher had water at the bottom of it and it didnt work, the carpet had been patched together, the divider between the living room and kitchen had nails stuck out. We did mention ALL of these things on our walk though. MANY MANY things were wrong with the apartment. Upon arriving after all settled in we called about many of those things which were NEVER fixed. We also found out later that we were put into a pet building, when 2 of us were allergic to cats. The neighbors never kept there dogs on a leash, they did nothing to stop him.
Then
After we moved out, one of us (all of us going our separate ways) was contacted with a bill, estimating over 1000 dollars in damages. We didnt find out until 8 months later that they had put something on our credit with a failure to pay. They said, they had to get a new door (the same door we noted had a patched hole). They said that once we moved out of a PET BUILDING (one we did not ask to be in) we had to pay to replace the carpet, because of allergins. We also had to pay for the pictures taken of these so called "damages", we also had to pay for 1 day of rent. ALSO on top of everything else... no one ever told us or called us to schedule a walk through at the end of our lease.
ALL IN ALL
WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT TO ANYONE. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY, THEY DONT CARE TO HELP YOU IN ANYWAY AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU AT ANY CHANCE. THEY HAVE SCREWED US OUT OF MONEY. DO NOT LIVE HERE ITS A JOKE.
