Apartment is great ... leasing agents need to be educated!

I have read the reviews regarding insects and cars that have been stolen and/or broken into. Hello, this is the desert; there are insects in the desert. I have lived in Vegas since 1991 and I have never had an insect problem in my residence because of the way I take care of it. Eagle Crest is no exception. Don't only depend on their exterminators ... do it yourself! I buy the professional gallon (with trigger spray) and spray all along the floorboards, the window sills, and the 4-sides of the doors. Do this on the outside as well. Spray the windows and doors well and all along the bottom exterior wall of the apartment. In addition, I have the electronic sound wave repellent. I see an occasional earwig, but they are few and far between. As far as the cars being stolen and/or broken into ... this is a metropolitan city and not a township of 10,000 people. It's going to happen. That is what car security systems are for. It's a shame we have to do this, but it's not Eagle Crest's fault, it's what the world has come to. The few things that needed repair when I moved in, maintenance was on them within a few days. No complaints there. The only complaints I have (and there are several) are regarding the leasing office staff. They are "dimwits" who don't have a clue how to do their jobs. They didn't know how much I was to pay when I moved in (the amount changed approx. 8 times), they don't know anything about the alarm systems (maintenance finally helped program mine), they don't know what certain things are around the apartment (inside and out), and basically could not answer one question I had. They need to be educated not only on the apartment complex, but in general as well. They are, however, very nice. What they lack in brains they make up for in personality. If you're thinking about moving to Eagle Crest, once you get through the leasing office, signing the lease, and into your apartment (which they change the date on you several times), I think you will be very happy here. I have been. Luckily I don't have to deal with the leasing people any longer. As far as children running around like "wild cats," I have yet to see this and if you have, shame on you for getting upset at children playing. There is no greater sound than the laughter of a child and no greater sight than a child smiling and having fun.
