First off, some of these reviews seem pretty harsh. While most tenants will agree Joyce is extremely unkind/impatient towards most people (maybe that's just her shining personality), the rest of the staff is always happy and eager to help. I've been in there several times and have only been treated with kindness and respect.
Yes, these apartments do have bugs. But the majority of all bottom-floor apartments across the entire U.S. are going to have bugs. It just happens. If you notice they're showing up more and more often, lay out some bug traps, spray around the doors and windows, and you're ok. That's what I did when I first moved in after seeing 3 roaches in 1 week. I didn't see another roach for 6 1/2 months.
This apartment's maintenance staff is also highly recommendable. They respond quickly to your emergencies, though don't be upset if it takes a day or two to getting around to looking at your light switch not working. Bear in mind there are a lot of units in this complex.
My only major complaint is that the mailroom is locked at 11 PM, and my parking spot is two buildings away from my apartment. That being said, I plan on signing another lease and staying here. I've never seen a car broken into, much less, an apartment. I never hear dogs barking. And neighbors luckily pass out before 2 am, so I'm never deprived of sleep. They also just recently painted the whole complex and it's looks way better than previously.
If you plan on moving here, come during the week and see Iva. She's amazing.
