My CRAZY experience

I had lived in Eagle Trace back in 2004-2005 in a 1-bedroom by myself. It was a good experience then. I didn't really have too many issues except dealing with parking and seeing Metro pull their guns out on a car thief lol. It was O.K. NOW...when I even hear their name I want to cringe. I moved back and even convinced my cousin in moving along with me in a two bedroom. Of course the rent price was great, but AS SOON as we began dealing with the office staff I began to have issues. There is a lady in there by the name of Diane who totally F*cked us over with our move in that we had to wait an extra month because of her "forgetfullness". She FORGOT to tell us that we had to move in by a certain date in order to avoid paying over $500.00.

We got passed that and began to move in. Before I even completely moved 1 carload of things into the apartment I had to complain about the door looking as if someone kicked it down and it was just painted over, I had to complain that the apartment wasn't clean because there was dryer lint and dirt all over the laundry room and the carpet had looked as if they didn't even ATTEMPT to shampoo it. I admit fault for not sticking on them like glue to come clean it, but after telling them 3 times I was frustrated so I just went and marked everything down on the walk-through sheet which is supposed to mean you aren't responsible for those things because they were messed up prior to move in. We got in completely and once again everything seemed hunky dorey then BAM...we got broken into.

I called the police and the police NEVER came lol. They said they were responding to 12 other break-ins in the SAME area. How creazy is that' I have alot of personal frustrations with this break in because my place was ramsacked and then whoever broke in had the audacity to take a ---- and leave it in my toilet. That's besides the point. We got everything sealed and screwed so they weren't supposedly able to break in again then BAM 29 days later ANOTHER break in. THIS time, I came home and my door was unlocked. I walked in and they idiots were STILL in my apartment. I could see and hear them in my room. I called the police...explained that they were still in there. I was told to sit in my car until they arrived which they didn't until 3 hours later lol. Metro REALLY has a good reputation as well over there. My mom and two of the security guards had to bust into my apartment with my moms gun to make sure no one was still in there since I was left outside hanging. Of course by this time, the thieves escaped out of my bedroom window. I'm just blessed to have personally known one of the Metro officers that responded to my call 3 hours later lol. She took care of the report for both cases and had her Mgr call Eagle Trace and we were able to have our lease transferred of course with a personal meeting with the Mgr as well. We are now at the Breakers. It's a pretty cool place, but I have had it up to my witts end with Olen Properties anyway.
Ohhhh yea, but to end my frustration with Eagle Trace. The mgr didn't "feel like" cutting a check for us that we were entitled to because we moved out at the beginning of the month after that month was paid in rent. So that apartment was just sitting there vacant for weeks. I get a phone call from the Breakers telling me that Eagle Trace was charging me for the carpet stains that I complained about prior to us even moving in there. And THEN they even added a charge for the photos they had to take equalling up to $76.00 the cost for the carpet was $50 and the cost of the photos was $26.00 WTF''' Why in the hell does it cost $26.00 to take a ------- picture and then why am I being charged for something I TOLD you about in the first place''' I HATE that place and I just really needed to share my story.

Everyone obviously have their own opinions about these complexes but without everyone's 10 cents, you wouldn't have a clue so this is strictly to assist you with your decision. I could tell you SOOOO much more but I think I've wrote a long enough book :o) Good Luck!! mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH

Diane is the most stuck up, arrogant and snotty person I have ever known. I dont understand WHY they still allow her to work there. She looks at you like you are a bug, and talks down to you like you are a child. If you go to her for a maintenance issue, she forgets half the time, which doesn't surprise me as she is blond and acts the dizzy stereotype. If you go to her for nearly any other issue, she uses the same two lines. "Youll have to speak to the manager, and she's not here" or "There's nothing we can do about it." The woman is useless. As for the manager, Kim.. she's also entirely useless. She always claims that she knows nothing about anything going on and its the first time hearing of it..... like the time the front gate wasn't working for over six months. She claimed she never knew about it the entire time, just like maintenance said they never knew.. yea.. RIGHT. Which comes to another issue, maintenance. Nearly all of them do not speak English, and they do not always do things correctly, many times taking the cheapest way out to fix something, or flat out rigging things so they work.
