At the City of Las Vegas council meeting held 3/15/06, the applicant Cayman Bay Apartments LLC requested and received approval to convert this 480 unit apartment complex to condominiums. The applicants representative stated that the new owners wished to record the map as it was their standard operating procedure when purchasing a complex. The representative also state the owners "were not your typical converters, but they are rental operators". Thus it is my opinion that existing tenants and those looking to rent here need not worry about having to find another place to live in the upcoming 6 to 12 months in the event, because it sounds like the approval is merely a formality.
