Counting down the days

I wake up every morning and find dead cockroaches in my living room. Found one in my pantry the other day.
The front gate does NOT close even though over a month ago they said and posted that it would be working soon.
Parking sucks. One assigned space. There is only a handful of "unassigned" spaces scattted around the complex. None of which are anywhere near my apartment. Therefore you have to park on the street if you have more than one car. Street parking sucks because every day except Sunday and holidays from 8am-6pm it is 2 hour parking.
I hate the mail system. In order to drop off your mail instead of dropping into a lock box, you have to go into the front office and put it in an open wicker basket. To get your mail you have to go into what I call "The Cave". It's a room under the front office, hidden from the street. Very scary at night especially if you're a woman.
The complex is very deceiving. They make the front look nice, the gardeners upkeep the front lawn and flowers. The clubhouse is nicely decorated...but drive around the complex and you'll find kids running around unsupervised, trash all over, "gang-bangers" standing around in groups, people driving around at all times of the night blasting hip-hop. My actual neighbors (the units that are connected to mine) are very quiet but the ones across from me make me feel like shouting out my window for them to shut the hell up and take it inside.
When you first move in they have you fill out a form during your walk-around. Basically you check off what things are good and what items need repaired. Well it's been 9 months and no one has been by my apartment.
I don't know where the front office employees from when I first moved in went (probably quit) but the ones that are there now have no business working in a front office. Not friendly at all.
I'm counting down the days until I can move out of here and further West. I guess the ghetto is moving over from the East.
