I moved into Evergreen Apartments on April 1, 2007 and I have to say the amenities of the complex seem like a great value for the price you pay ($510 for a studio plus $25 Pet Rent): Swimming pools, laundry facilities on site (that I've had no problems with.... yet), gym and tennis courts. Plus, it's a fairly quiet place and I live right next to the pool. HOWEVER, the rental price is so low because there are CONSTANT problems with the actual apartments. In the 23 days I've been living here I've had maintenance out to my apartment 13 of those days. Most of those trips were for THE SAME PROBLEM that didn't actually get taken care of until I annoyed the apartment manager enough for her to actually do something about it. The pipes for the sink are constantly backing making doing your dishes a crap shoot. After speaking with the apartment manager I've been informed it's due to people not watching their children who throw things down the toilet. Why is someone's child messing with the TOILET affecting the plumbing in my KITCHEN' In my opinion it's just plain old 1960 plumbing that needs to be replaced, not that I expect that to happen. Conclusion: You're getting a pretty good deal for your money but I hope you're inventive and handy with plumbing. I would suggest for college age kids such as myself trying to get through school, or save money, or pay off bills, whatever. But if you can afford something better you can get a 1 BR with washer and dryer in unit for $750 per month right down the street.
