Ok, I'm a traveling nurse and move about every 3-6 months, so I feel like I really need to post this one. I actually ended up staying here for 9 months total and will be moving next month due to contract extensions. So, where do I start'

Scorpions, yes there are! We have had at least 7 in our apartment, and one of them we caught just before my dog got stung.

Safety(or lack of). At least 3 police chases through the complex. Their idea of night shift security for the longest time was some guy running around on his scooter! There was a shooting here in the complex shortly after we arrived here in January. I'm not making it up, go ahead and check the police reports. The gates are frequently broken, and many people rush the gates to get through. There are people that sneak in after hours and park their vehicles in the lots and sleep there, hello! The wall around the complex has been hit by gangbanger vandals at least twice. The grocery store right across the street has become homeless/beggar central, so don't listen about the nice neighborhood.
We caught drunks sitting around the BBQ grill at 2am having a bonfire! Where is the supposed security' For it being a gated community, I have had more door to door salesman come by and try to sell me stuff or leave their flyers all over my car and apartment. I have seen people sitting in front of their cars smoking pot IN BROAD DAYLIGHT! As far as I know nothing was done about it. I have had gas stolen out of my car here in the parking lot. Finally, I have seen at least 4 missing small dog posters up in the complex. When they aren't allowed Need I say more'
Maintenance (hah!). When I first called here, my oven was not working properly, the maintenance guy came over and fixed it, or at least claimed he did. Wrong! It still doesn't work right because I gave up after I called them again and they came over and shook the oven and claimed it was fixed! What school did he go to' The bedroom door simply dry rotted clean off the screws. A fellow traveling nurse had her AC not work for 2 weeks straight, and the maintenance guys told her it was fine, it was keeping her apartment at 95 degrees afterall! The path lights have been broken for 2 weeks now. No signs of repair.

Pool and grounds! Here we go. We have seen the BBQ grills ripped out of the ground and left to lie there for several days. The main pool frequently has beer caps lying all over the pool grounds to step on. So much for no alcohol at the pool. The other day we went to go swimming and A)someone had ripped one of the jets of the hot tub, there were tons of rocks thrown into the pool and hot tub, there was FOOD in the swimming pool, and BUBBLE BATH or SHAMPOO in the hot tub. Maybe the previously mentioned homeless guys taking a bath or something, hmmm. And on several occasions, as residents here, we have not been able to get into the pool, because people are having large parties and have 50 of their closest friends and families in the pool. The other pool is a joke, usually covered with slime and leaves.

I can't say about the financial end of it, because my company pays for it, but I can honestly say, you couldn't pay me enough to live in here on my own accord.

STAY AWAY, STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!! Unless you like living in the ghetto and really want to make an appearance as a side person on COPS someday.
