An Absolutely Horrible Place to Live

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
My boyfriend and I have had the unfortunate opportunity to live here for the past two and a half years. There are quite a few reasons why I would NOT recommend this place:
1) Two days after we moved into our apartment I had the unfortunate experience of finding a scorpion in my laundry basket. After calling management, the problem was never taken care of and we subsequently have found scorprions in our bed, shower, living room and kitchen. Both my boyfriend and I, plus our poodle have been stung by scorpions in the time we have lived here.
2) Three months into our lease, our dishwasher broke, flooded our kitchen and part of our living room damaging the carpet. It took management nearly two weeks to fix this.
3) Four months into our lease, we had an infestation of ants that were coming from behind our stove... the problem did not go away for nearly two months and it took many different pest control sprays to control the problem.
4) Eleven months into our lease the line from the toilet to the wall exploded during the middle of the night. This proceeded to fill our apartment with nearly 2 inches of standing water. The next morning when we woke up to this mess, we waited nearly two hours for maintenance to come to our apartment. In the process of them coming into our apartment, they proceeded to break the drawer under the counter in the bathroom, tear apart the baseboards and walk all over our wet, tan carpet with their dirty shoes. We now have black carpet in our living room due to their negligence. They were to clean the carpets after the carpets were dried, this never happened. They were also to come back and fix the drawer that they broke and replace the baseboards, this never happened. To this day, they are all still broken after numerous calls to management.
5) Every white trash person and their 10 kids can live in a two bedroom apartment. We currently have neighbors with 6 people living in their two bedroom apartment next door. Above them in another two bedroom apartment are 7 people. The family upstairs consistently walks across the street to the grocery store and brings their shopping cart back where it sits on the lawn for weeks until someone comes with a pickup truck to pick it up.
6) There are people who stand out on their patios with their music as loud as can be at all hours of the night for no reason. Management does nothing about this.
I have never been so happy to see the light at the end of the tunnel... we will be moving into our new home in April.
