spent money on "renovations" instead of combating the scorpion problem.

I lived here peacfully for about one month -until- I saw the first scorpion I have ever seen in person in my whole life and I was horrified.
Eight months, many nightmares, and about thirty scorpions later: I got stung.
I knew it was coming, that was the bad part.
They can be very dangerous.
If you have:
-Children under six
-cats or small dogs
Don't move here.
The Arizona Bark Scorpion/Centruroides Exilicuada is fatal in about one percent of stings in healthy adults but for those listed above fatality rates are higher.
There are ways to fight scorpion infestation like triming all shrubs/bushes to leave a space all around the house, having your place conditioned by sealing up all the crackes, and treating the air ducts.
There is one thing that proves ineffective: spraying.
As far as I'm aware, that's as far as they'll go here (as of this writing).
I look forward to this summer when I can escape this terrible place that always has me on edge.
