Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I lived in Fox hall for about a year and a half. I had no problems with maintenance, they were always prompt and took care of things well. However, when the battery ran out in the smoke detector in the vacant apartment right next to mine and began to beep continuously at 2 am I went nuts. There is nobody there at night to help you, the security officer was asleep in his car and when he awoke could not speak English. I called Crystal, but she was at the casino playing the slots and would not pick up. So I called the Police but they could not go into a vacant apartment for some reason. After a sleepless night I complained and all Crystal could do was be rude and quite insulting, suggesting I find a new place to live instead.
Later, my car was stolen from the parking lot while the security officer was nowhere to be found. The area is so ghetto the Police couldn't tell me anything besides move to the Westside or Henderson.
There are way better places to live within the vicinity of campus.
