My wife and I never had a problem here, with the exception of the time when
some kids pulled the fire alarm!! Believe me this thing will wake you up---Loud, Loud,
Loud!!! I would recommend that you request an apartment as far from the back of the complex as possible--ie--
toward the Harmon street parking lot(away from kids and
most of the noise). There is 24 hour roving security so it has a tendency to be a relatively safe and quiet
place. Rooms are not bad(I
think we paid about $640/mo.
plus a small security deposit
initially. Utilities are
included in that total. It's only about 150 yards to the
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and
about 2-3 blocks to the strip,
with some of the best Hotel/
Casinos, such as MGM, Monte-Carlo, Aladdin and others within walking distance. The rooms at Harbor Island are small(around 450sq ft.) but have a kitchenette, bathroom, queen bed in bedroom; also a TV, couch, etc. in the living area.(All adequate---unless you are used to plush habitats.(If my 50 plus year old wife and I can
live here, so can anyone).
Forget the other higher priced
places near the strip that charge you $800 or more for about the same square footage and are gated(they are no more secure--didn't you come to Vegas to spend your money on something else besides an
overpriced room'')
Sincerely,
Patrick Lee
