I have lived in Las Vegas for seven years and have been at four different apartment complexes. Vegas has also changed a lot in seven years, however, I feel I have a good point of comparison. Indian Hills is located in a neighborhood west of Decatur. This is a working class to upper middle class area with pockets of low income apartments. It is not Summerlin, so the picket fence is not here. This is a great central location without being in a ghetto. I lived at Sandpiper off of Oakey and know problems from noisy neighbors and bad managementâ.trust me, Sandpiper was one of the worst places ever for the management! Indian Hills is average (for my expectations before I lived in Vegas), and because of that, that is awesome! I can walk around at night and be comfortable, I can call the office to report loud annoying loungers outside and in a hour or so they are gone via security. I can pay rent with a check, my apartment is clean and roomy, the maintenance will enter your apartment only when you say so, when my friends and family come to visit, they say, this is a nice place and a nice neighborhood. The high school in this district is Clark. It has a teaching and accounting magnet. This school is one of the most diverse socioeconomic learning centers in Clark County (for the record, if you are new to the city, do not live in the Western high school zone). There is one thing to know about apartments in Vegas: the neighborhood alone does not make the complex. Given the standards of Vegas renting, This place is a great place for staff and location. I think the negative comments about this place is from petty swabbing residents.
