It's sounds very good at first, we moved in, been living here for a year. Carpets were not new, you could still see some stains from last residents; not a big deal. Few roaches appeared, I thought they would go away as I cleaned & sprayed. Now after a year, this apartment is ROACH INFESTED, specially in the kitchen & living room, some on my computer table, few on bathroom & bedrooms. They've come to spray several times & I've sprayed myself but still found some of my cabinets are roaches infested w/several eggs that I cannot use 60 % of my cabinets anymore as there are a lot of them making 60% of the cabinet USELESS. Maintenance was good at the beginning, then we had a new "manager" that practically screwed everything up. Maintenance became a disaster, 1st they used to come 2-3 days after we requested, now it can take up to 2-3 months. Also now I decided to transfer to another apartment here in Indian Hills as we want to install Direct TV & my location was not good for the antenna. I hoped that the new apartment would not have roaches. 1st they said yes, but now managements SUCKS because after putting my 30 day notice, they told me they had to "walk" the apartment to see if no major damage was done. Ok, I agreed. The lady came from the office & sd everything was allright, it didn't seem a problem (she was looking mainly at the carpet which gets dirty very easily). Then they said they would call a guy to check the carpet to see if no major repair was needed & if so, I would have to pay any extra repair it may need. Ok, it took 2 more days. After he came, it took another 2 days for them to tell me OK & they took my check for the transfer. They insisted they had to RUN MY CREDIT again even though I've been a perfect resident NEVER being late & never had any issue with anybody. They ran it & they told me they would request a FULL MONTH deposit (according to their computer system where they ran my credit) being that a year ago, they only requested $350 which is the normal deposit. This was ridiculous, I've been a resident for a year & they never had any complain or late payment from me! The guy said would speak to the manager the next day & would see if they could lower it to the regular deposit, which I had to pay UPFRONT as if I was a new resident (and the old one would be reimbursed 30 days after moving out). 3 days after, the girl from the office called me to tell me I WAS DENIED the transfer because "my carpet was damaged & would have to be replaced". It was NOT EVEN NEW when I moved in! & my carpet has has only THE NORMAL WEAR for 1 year, this is crap, after being a such a good resident & after over 2 weeks that I filed the notice (being that they told me it would be OK to transfer), they come up with all this crap & say they won't let me transfer. Of course, they want me to stay here and expect me to pay $25 more (as they raised my rent), also, they know that they will charge more if I stay over 2 weeks & I would have to pay the FULL rate (no discount as there would be no contract), and if I transfer my actual rent would go down for $30... They said would return my check but I'M OUT OF HERE, DON'T MOVE HERE, THEY WILL LIE & WILL TRY TO CHARGE YOU FOR A NEW CARPET even though you take care of it; of all the other 4 apartment complexes I've moved in, NO ONE EVER HAD CHARGED ME FOR CARPET even though they were dirtier when I left that the one here in Indian Hills!!!
