I still don't like Las Vegas after 2 years but I have managed to turn an apartment into a home. I moved to Vegas to be close to family only to find out that I couldn't afford to live in Summerlin, fine, I'm over that part. I found a roommate and moved to South Las Vegas. I was a lil nervous being this close to the "Strip" but it was further than I thought.

PARKING: Parking can be a pain and you have to pay for covered parking but its worth it. Besides, walking a lil never hurt anyone.

NOISE: I hardly remember that we have neighbors until the walk from the car to the apartment. They are usually outside bar-b-queing and offering to feed us. (Good ol' Southern Boys) Reminds me of home. And my upstairs neighbor must have a home theater, because Saturday night is movie night.

SAFETY: We haven't had any major issues. My room mates car window was broken a couple months ago but I don't think anything was taken. That coulda happened anywhere. I do, however, see the police patroling through here every so often. It kinda makes me feel safer.

CONTRUCTION: The layout of the apartment is perfect for our situation since there was no arguement about who gets the walk in closet since both of the rooms have one and there are 2 decent sized bathrooms. Thankfully, we have a washer and dryer inside the apartment. A relief, since my first attempt at going to a laundry mat scared the snot outta me.

Maintenance and Staff: Maintenance is a lil slow and always seem to be short staffed but they get the job done. They are quick to cover grafitti and change the building lights. I wish the pool was open but... what are you gonna do, right' The office staff are friendly and helpful.

I am enjoying my home. I don't plan on moving anytime soon. I would tell people that I work with that this is a great place to live. I have every convenience within driving distance and all-in-all I really can't complain.
